A dynamic version of the super-replication theorem under proportional transaction costs

چکیده

We extend the super-replication theorem in a dynamic setting, both numéraire-based as well numéraire-free setting. For this purpose, we generalize notion of admissible strategies. In particular, obtain well-defined price process, which is right-continuous under some regularity assumptions.

The super-replication theorem under proportional transaction costs revisited

We consider a financial market with one riskless and one risky asset. The super-replication theorem states that there is no duality gap in the problem of super-replicating a contingent claim under transaction costs and the associated dual problem. We give two versions of this theorem. The first theorem relates a numéraire-based admissibility condition in the primal problem to the notion of a lo...

A super-replication theorem in Kabanov's model of transaction costs

We prove a general version of the super-replication theorem, which applies to Kabanov’s model of foreign exchange markets under proportional transaction costs. The market is described by a matrix-valued càdlàg bid-ask process (Πt)t∈[0,T ] evolving in continuous time. We propose a new definition of admissible portfolio processes as predictable (not necessarily right or left continuous) processes...

The fundamental theorem of asset pricing under proportional transaction costs

We extend the fundamental theorem of asset pricing to a model where the risky stock is subject to proportional transaction costs in the form of bid-ask spreads and the bank account has different interest rates for borrowing and lending. We show that such a model is free of arbitrage if and only if one can embed in it a friction-free model that is itself free of arbitrage, in the sense that ther...

Trading Regions Under Proportional Transaction Costs

In the Black-Scholes model optimal trading for maximizing expected power utility under proportional transaction costs can be described by three intervals B, NT , S: If the proportion of wealth invested in the stocks lies in B, NT , S, then buying, not trading and selling, respectively, are optimal. For a finite time horizon, the boundaries of these trading regions depend on time and on the term...

A closed-form solution to the problem of super-replication under transaction costs

We study the problem of nding the minimal price needed to dominate European-type contingent claims under proportional transaction costs in a continuous-time diiu-sion model. The result we prove has already been known in special cases-the minimal super-replicating strategy is the least expensive buy-and-hold strategy. Our contribution consists in showing that this result remains valid for genera...
